We can discuss what you need the building to do, the site, approximate size and any practical requirements that need to be considered.
The specification starts taking shape.
Layout, materials, openings, groundworks, electrics and other requirements can be developed around the project rather than chosen from a fixed package.
We move towards a defined project.
Once we understand what the building needs, we can establish the appropriate specification and move towards quotation and the next stage of the project.
You don’t need all the answers.
Starting a bespoke building project can feel like there are a lot of decisions to make. You don’t need to make them all before you speak to us.
Do I need drawings before I submit my project?
No. Drawings can be useful if you already have them, but they are not required. You can start with photographs, rough measurements, a sketch or simply an explanation of what you want to build.
Do I need to know the exact size?
No. An approximate size is helpful, but it does not need to be final. Tell us about the space available and what the building needs to accommodate and we can work from there.
What if I’m not sure what type of building I need?
That’s fine. You do not need to decide whether the project is a garden room, workshop, garage, open building or hybrid before getting in touch. Tell us what you need the building to do.
Can I upload photographs, sketches or plans?
Yes. Site photographs, sketches, existing plans and inspiration images can all help us understand what you have in mind. You can upload them directly with the project form.
Can ShedBox help work out the specification?
Yes. The layout, openings, materials, internal requirements and other details can be developed as we understand more about the building and how you intend to use it.
Can ShedBox handle the groundworks too?
Yes. Where required, ShedBox can incorporate the groundworks into the wider project so the foundation and building can be planned together.
Can ShedBox include electrical work?
Yes. Electrical requirements such as lighting and sockets can be discussed as part of the project and considered alongside the internal layout and intended use of the building.
Can I submit a project even if I’m still at the ideas stage?
Yes. You do not need a finished design or complete specification to start the conversation. If you know what you want the building to achieve, that is enough to begin.
